I suppose the logic for this might be that in such a large manual, it helps to have all the info pertinent to a given node in one place, rather than having to keep searching back and forward, which will no doubt be slowed by having the search results polluted with non-Fusion content from other sections. There may well be other similar duplication as well. This discrepancy in Resolve's documentation length is partially explained by the fact that the Resolve manual duplicates the "Common Controls" section of documentation for every single set of node types, where the standalone Fusion docs have it appear only once.

Interestingly, the Fusion Effects part of the Fusion Studio 16 manual is only 658 pages, compared to the Fusion 9 Tool Reference Guide being 791 pages, and the Fusion Page Effects section of the Resolve manual being 907 pages. There's a few extra pages dealing with Fusion's integration into the Resolve image pipeline, but certainly not 150+ of them. 163 pages longer than the Fusion Studio 16 manual, and 37 longer than the combined Fusion 9 docs. In the DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 manual, Fusion is covered from pages 944 to 2323, which is 1379 pages. Personally I do prefer the combined Fusion Studio 16 docs to the two separate docs of Fusion 9, as it allows searching both sets of content in one go, and doesn't require having two PDFs open. 20 of those pages is the documentation for Primatte, which is mysteriously left completely undocumented in Fusion Studio 16, despite still being included in the software! The Fusion Studio 16 manual is 1,216 pages, compared to 551 pages for the Fusion 9 User Guide + 791 for the Fusion 9 Tools Reference = 1,342.ġ30 pages shorter, so I suppose some info must have been streamlined or removed, but as a % it's not a vast difference. It's a shame they don't seem to have put the Fusion Studio 16 manual online.
